Welcome to The Hague International Drumming School

My name is Stephen Caruana and I'm a drummer from Australia. 

I studied Jazz at the Griffith Conservatory in Australia, and then completed a Masters of Music in Latin Percussion at the Rotterdam Conservatory, (Codarts). I've been performing professionally since 1987 and teaching since 1998. Since 2005, I have been teaching the art of drumming in The Netherlands. The locations that I have taught cover areas known as Bergschenhoek, Spijkenisse, and in the cities of Rotterdam and The Hague.

During my time in the Hague, it has become clear that there isn't a solid location for International People (ex-pats) to learn about the art of Drumming. Naturally there is the Conservatory, but what about those people who wish to learn drumming as a hobby, or for younger people eager to become familiar with drumming for the first time. Perhaps your life before living in Holland included drum lessons, drumming and playing in a band. Therefore I researched the possibilities and I am proud to announce that this void has been filled. Welcome to The Hague International Drumming School. A school designed to focus on the needs of the International person, wanting to continue and fulfil their drumming passion.

Lessons are available for students of all ages, and lessons are in Dutch , English, (Dutch-lish).  Studying with Stephen, you learn: 
- To Read Music. 
- To Listen to Music Analytically and Musically. 
- To Play Drums. 
- To Play in a Band.
